Blog Title Explained

"Mawwiage is What Bwings us Togevah Today"

Hint:  It's a quote from a movie . . .
Name that movie . . .

Did you guess The Princess Bride?  Then you would be correct, my friend!
I love movies, and TPB is definitely one of my all-time favorites.  I know I am certainly not alone in this sentiment.
This movie is classic!
When I was younger, I was mesmerized by the handsome Cary Elwes who played the part of Westley in the movie, and the beautiful Robin Wright who played Princess Buttercup.  What young girl wouldn't be enchanted by a romantic love story where boy meets girl-turned-Princess and boy risks his life, even his tortured dying breaths, to be with his true love (even if most of the humor and the overall plot went completely over my head at that age)?
Sigh . . .
Is this the complex and romantic path we all walk before marriage?
Is there such a thing as riding off on white horses into the sunset towards the promise of a
Wesley-and-Princess-Buttercup marriage?
What is a realistic possible picture of the dynamic duo's married life together?

It is my goal over the next 14 weeks to contemplate these questions in connection to the material I am studying in my FAML 300 class ("Marriage") through BYU-I (Online).
After all,  Marriage really is what brings us together today, and every day for the duration of this semester!
